Happy New Year!

I had to go to work today so he went into a crate in my bedroom. He’s not a huge fan of crates as he barked when I was leaving but he settled down and was quiet and calm when I returned. So if you have to use one he’s fine but if you don’t he would prefer to be free of the crate. 

Chewy has settled in here easily. He is playing with my dogs and is happy as a lark. Loves the snow and enjoys snoozing on the couch. 

Today he got an application to be adopted so I won’t have him very long. I’ll still miss him! He’s so sweet! 

Sounds like he’s going to a lovely home so I’m very happy for him. So ...happy New Year... snowing here so we will be staying home. ❄️🎉❄️

Chewy Arrives!

Darling 3 year old Chewy is here! He is calm and makes himself at home! 

I currently have Chewy wearing a belly band. It goes around him and keeps any potty contained if he lifts his leg. I’m told he’s potty trained but I usually first use the belly band. After a couple days and he has settled in I take it off and he’s done with it if he proves himself to not mark. 

I put a little buffalo checked jacket on him and he looks adorable. I am totally in love!!! 

I do not think he will be here long. He’s a really nice little dog!! 

Bachelor Button: Adopted!!! 🎄

My most precious pup Bachelor has found that life on a Hobby Farm is his choice of forever~ness. Yay! He will meet horses and chickens and an old grey barn cat!!! He will also be a traveling man and venturing with moms Debby and Kathy to state fairs all around the country in a motor home. #lifeisgood #smalldogbiglife

Bachelor is learning to be a good walker! His teachers are helping! I ADORE their matching harness coats!!!

Bachelor is the best heating pad!!! He now has run of the house and sleeps with us.

Marigold is ADOPTED!!!

Marigold is home with her new family of all ladies, a mom and two sisters, and reports are she is settling right in to the routine. I’m happy that Mari who is now named Lilla has lots of love to fill her days. Congrats to all!!! 🧡🌼🧡

Questions Answered:

Will they shed? I expect at some point they will. They do not shed now. 

Crate trained? Yes, they sleep in separate crates in my kitchen at night. They also go into their crates when I go to work. I work part time so their crate stay is 5-6 hours every day. 

Do they bark lots? Both do bark at sounds. It’s nice on one hand because nobody is going to surprise you with these two alert dogs keeping watch. On the other hand if you want zero barking then I’d suggest a cat. They will bark. They don’t bark in their crates at night or when I’m gone. They are quiet. They don’t have separation problems and are not nervous. They are alert, peppy, happy pups and are sweet and waggy tailed to all!

House Trained? Both potty and poop outside. Always in morning, after meals and play time. They have that down pat. I have a fenced yard. They do sometimes still have a boo boo in the house but only if I let them sneak off. They are young so it will happen but they are doing fine and in time will be 100% trained. They are puppies yet!

Friendly? Yes, they adore visitors to the home. Both guys n girls. Big and small. 

Dog Friendly? Yes, they love dog pals. I have two terriers they live with. 

Food? Both eat small bite dog food, kibble. Gobble it up. Not fussy. Love treats. Anything! Easy Peasy!

Grooming: No brushing needed. Nail clips are of course necessary and general care. Baths in tub go fine!

Clothing: Dress them up! Cute as can be! They don’t mind :)

Riding? Take them along! Good riders. Love a doggy car seat!

Gardenia is adopted!!!

Gardenia has a cute pillow made by a friend of mine. It went with her to her new home. We rubbed the scents of her puppy siblings on it. 

She is now named Leia and is loved by a family of 3 humans and one dog sister, a Boston Terrier, named Joie! Happy life my sweet Denia... Princess Leia! 🌸

Vet inspection, check✔️

Gardenia passed her inspection. She was 7 lbs 4 oz. She had her Rabies shot. All done! Yaaay!!! The vet said she was a Chinese Crested (mix) for sure... she loves that breed! Everyone said Denia was soooo adorable! 

On the way home Gardenia stretched out in the doggy car seat. Love the foot! Haha! Zzzzz

What’s NEW?!?

Gardenia is going to be adopted! Yay! So excited for her. She’s ready to do this... will miss my fuzzy girl!

They now eat separately!

Not long ago 4 pups shared 2 bowls. They just flitted around. Now they are smart pups and each stick with their own bowl. It’s been really neat to raise 4... now only 3.., pups. I’m in awe at how smart they have become!
