Mugsy is comical :)

When Muggsy disappears upstairs I always know he is looking for his toys that are strewn around the house. He came down with this one ...one of his faves… Mr. yellow!!!

Friday night is really exciting around here! Watched a movie on Netflix and ended with a bang doing laundry! My "helper" found the folded laundry pretty comfy! 

Perfectly potty trained! :)

Waiting outside the screen door Mugsy is ready to come back inside. He has on his camo coat because today is freezin'. This little guy is very consistent with his habits which makes life easy with him! He does both "jobs" after eating and will usually potty when ever I let him out and comes back to the door when finished. Fantastic!!!

Today I took Mugsy and my dog Parson for a short ride in the car while I got my back adjusted at the chiropractor. My son was along and held onto Mugsy's leash while he rode in the backseat. Mugsy is a little whiny and he barks at people that he sees outside the window. We will continue to work on his car manners!!! While we were inside the chiropractic office he waited patiently with Parson and looked sooo adorable as he looked out the window as we approached the car.

A New Chapter

A note from Mugsy himself:
I thought I had found my forever home but things just did not work out. I tried my best to be a good dog for my new mom and dad but I needed more time to adjust. I was afraid sometimes and acted out in ways that were not appropriate. I felt bad after I did this and sometimes I would roll on my back to show them I did not mean it! I was trying to be good!
My inappropriate  behavior scared my new dad most of all. Mommy understood me but dad was just being a dad and had to make a hard decision because he didn't understand me yet. He was as scared and nervous as I was. :(
I am back at my other moms house now (she is called my foster mom) and she knows I CAN be a good dog. She is helping me to relax, trust and shed any stresses so the next time things will go better. I want a family soooo much! I just need them to give me the space I need and time to trust them. All of them... not just the mommy. Sometimes I think about all the bad things that happened to me in the past and I can't help but feel afraid and nervous and not trust people when they hug me too close and sometimes I get uncomfortable if people pet me when I just want to be near them. I do not know how to tell them how I feel and what I need. I am so excited to be part of a  family but it will take me time to know that I am really truly accepted and will never ever be sent away again. I want to be with MY family FOREVER!

Mugs getting his CVI

Mugs was shaking at the Brown County Humane Society today getting his vet certificate which is needed to go home to his new family. Here he is with a staff person as he gets carried to the back for his check up. He passed w flying colors and is ALL SET to go to his forever home!

He loves his toy!

This toy is so wet from being carried. It's really not too pleasant when he puts it on your lap. Blech! Here he is in my bedroom door today just looking at me with his little buddy in his mouth. Awwww!

Mugsy loves my bunny!

I own a jersey wooley bunny named Agape. We call her Agi. Mugs loves Agi and whines to go see her. Here they are together sniffing each other. 

Finally! We can get outside!

Sun is shining! Temperature at a whopping 19... Heat wave! While I take Parson for a walk... Mugsy gets a car ride to the grocery store with foster dad. Coats on! Fresh air!!!

My weekend begins-- Friday off--this is usually "nappy time" for the puppies as I'm usually at work. Mugs lovin' the sunny comfy wicker couch on the landing. Sweet dreams!

It's so hard to get a pic of Mugs w perked up ears. He usually droops as soon as I look like I "just might" take a pic, little smarty! Here I caught him not looking at me with perked up ears listening to a sound! So sweet! 

Monday here I come !

Mugsy's personality is coming out more the longer he is here. He is fun!!! He is such a people dog! I admit he especially loves me (and will love his forever mom too) and is a shadow...will make himself comfy nearby and be content. Here he is hanging out on the bed while I face Monday ... Ugh Monday! Had a little fun w the phone apps this morning ... :) !!!
