I volunteer as a foster for Fluffy Dog Rescue and WI Westie Rescue. I live in a quirky old house, with my family, that we fondly call "The Plantation". It is here that we "fall in love" with every dog we foster! The purpose of this blog is to provide additional photos, descriptions and videos so you can learn more about our fluffy foster and follow his or her journey until a fur-ever home is found. You may even "fall in love" just like we have!!! Thanks for looking and for choosing RESCUE!

Gardenia (Gardie or Denia... I call her both) has longer legs like momma. She’s also fuzzy and her personality is confident yet calm. Her face is pretty and that loop of a tail. Darling!
Leader of the little 4 pack she is always looking for adventure and exploration. She enjoys her kibble and will push my little mouses out! Lol! She likes toys and laps. You can’t go wrong here! πΈπ
This morning when outside one puppy knocked over a metal dog dish of water. They all bee lined it to me for protection. It was soooo sweet! I’m the mommy hen. Cluck cluck! LOL
Here they are on my lap! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Update on them:
The puppies never soil in their sleeping box. It’s lovely! They pee n poop on the potty pads in their pen. I have the floor covered with the pads. So far I’ve only fed them outside as it’s been nice out. Then cleanup is just on the grass and after eating they can play and explore.
I worrry about hawks so if I have to go in the house they all go in the covered pen (I keep a blanket over it).
These puppies are 1-2 lbs. and get under foot. Walking is not easy!!! So they have to go to homes with no kids under 10 years. Truly, I’m scared I will step on one!!!
I adore them all! No favorites here... each is a love!
Enjoy their pics!!
Lunch Time...

Marigolds Photo Shoot:
Bachie is a snuggle boy! He is tiny. We laugh how his tummy fills up like a puffer fish when he eats. He has a spotted throat and belly. A very delicate Button for sure!
Matching her brother is Holly! Equally small, delicate and kissable ..,she is my little Mouseketeer!
Gardie is very mellow and laid back. She’s going to be a cutie when her fur fills in a bit. Her tummy is also speckled. She is biggest pupper right now.
Mari is the stocky sissy with a squarer nose. She seems to have the most spunk and her paws are more round ... she has the best melt your heart puppy eyes!
Mommy Zinnia! Miss Z is not with me but she’s so cute! I had to include her here. She came from a home with 30 Chihuahuas - a hoarding type situation where an elderly couple got overwhelmed and it just got out of control for them. Zinnia surprised us with being prego as she’s around 7 years. She is now in a foster home and hoping for a forever family soon!
Here are the pups after a much needed bubble bath in the sink. Love them all!!! ππππ§‘
Littlest of the Flower buds... Hollyhocks... fits in my husband’s hand! #π
Riley is adopted! His family is a 2 time Fluffy adopter. I hear great reports and Riley is settling in. Everyone wins on adoption day!!
Riley is my 70th foster dog. Yes... 70. It sounds like a lot but feels like a little. Tomorrow he gets adopted.
We adore him. It’s been a full week of growth. Here is his progress report.
Riley has:
Stopped panting and pacing. He was a big bundle of stress when he arrived.
Started to enjoy his bowl of ‘foodies’ and eats calmly with the other dogs.
Accepted his fur buddies as pals with no more grrrs over mom’s attention.
Learned to sleep in our bedroom without jumping on and off of the bed 25 times. He hops on for his snuggle time but then sleeps on the carpet in front of the cool air conditioning vent.
Discovered treats. Dog treats are maybe not as tasty as human food but are something to enjoy.
Found some manners and counter surfing is now minimal.
Managed to climb and descend the attic steps unassisted. Ha! He’s very proud of it.
Started to learn the word sit.
Learned he does not have to hug us all the time with his paws. Space is a good thing. We will still love him!
So anyway... I’m going to enjoy my Saturday with Fluffy Ri Ri and maybe we will take a long walk along the trail if the rain holds off.
I’ll post some pics later...
Raining! Bummer. So Riley rode along taking Seth to work. Then we stopped at a rummage sale I spied. Next a trip to the church I work at (yes he came into the office and met some people) and here he is out at the Conmunity Garden. Such a good boy!!!
On Sunday Riley will meet his new forever family. Yay Riley... you have good times ahead! ππ
After church we did a smiley selfie! He’s got the very best happy face!!!
Again an excellent night. Slept in his crate in the basement where it’s cool. Did all business outside... def potty trained. He’s also calming down. No more pacing around. He LOVES the red love-seat to rest on. It seems to be a fav of every foster dog. I should call it the foster-seat (not the love-seat)!!! π
Cooling off in the grass... warm day!
I believe a GB Packer fan in the making!! π
Riley loves going bye bye.
Hops in and heads for the back of the SUV.
So happy ...π
After a bath photos!
Super fluffy and clean!!!
Perfect in the tub, for a brush and nail clip. :)
Nappers...
