Little Summary ...

After having Little about a month as our foster dog here is what we can tell you about him:

Personality: Super duper snuggly and loving towards his family! He will lean into my chest and hug me. He is a terrier too as he likes to chase things like bunnies and squirrels and cars. Anything that moves is fun to chase. He is small and means no harm... he is just programed to do this by breeding.

Crate: Little is quiet in his crate and goes into his kitchen crate on his own quite often just to rest and hang out. He sleeps in his crate every night next to my bed and does not whine or fuss. He even lets me take my shower in the morning and sleeps until I open his door. How nice and polite of him to be so patient!!!

Food: He is not food aggressive to dogs or people and eats slowly and is not a gulper. He will share toys and is laid back about bones and goodies. He loves treats and will dance for them or sit nicely.

Car Riding: He likes to go along and I strap him into his doggy car seat. I bet if I let him he would be one of those dogs in the back window riders or on my lap. That is not safe so he has to put up with the doggy car seat!!!

Walks: Little loves walks and is a little prancer boy and not into pulling your arm off. He stops and sniffs... likes to try and chase those critters we see and does think cars are there to outrun but we are working on ignoring cars and since I do not walk him on busy streets it poses no problem for us. I use a harness on his walks. We do not see too many people on our walks but usually we just walk on past with no problems if we do see someone. We try and go on a couple walks a day.

Energy Level: Little is not hyper. In the house he would sit on my lap a long time if he could. He does like to play with my dogs and with toys but it does not last that long and then he is back to being curled up on the couch or in his crate on his blanket. He also will snuggle up with my dogs.

Potty Habits: At my house Little has not had an accident for a while now. He originally did mark because he was nervous and new... it is common with male dogs. I thought he possibly marked out of anxiety at the start of his stay as the poor little boy had been through so many changes. He now seems much more calm and also since the  weather is warmer we have been outside more. He is now doing so well and I do not really worry about him having accidents... especially if we have taken out walk! He is doing very well and should pose no problem once he is settled into your home.

Bad habit: Little does climb like a cat if he thinks there is something interesting up on the table. So I just know to keep all food on the counter where he cannot reach it. It is really kinda cute when he is up there though. LOL!

Meeting new people in the home: Little gets nervous and kinda barky when new people come into the home. He is never trying to harm anyone as his tail is wagging the whole time but he does bark and pace around not quite sure what he should do. I find the best is to just have people come into the home and sit down and then bring Little out to meet them. He wants to say hi and be a sweet dude. I usually just hold Little and then he is calm and quiet. Once he starts to know everyone he settles down and always takes treats. Mmmmm!

Grooming: He is great in the tub, for brushing and fur trims. He likes to be fussed over. He is a light shedder but nothing much. His fur is not soft but more like a terrier fur. I love how his ears are up and down and his head fur looks like a bushy dandelion. So CUTE!!! He also wears clothing and looks very dapper in a sweater or cute shirt!

Kids: I think Little would be ok with older kids but running kids as in younger kids he might chase or bark at when they play. Little would be a great companion dog for anyone who is just needing a lap warmer or walking buddy. He also loves all dog friends and could be a nice pal for you and your fur baby. I do not have a cat but he is no bigger than a cat so that should be ok but I have not tried him with a cat.

Thanks for considering my sweet sweet Little... he really grows on you and he has melded right into our home like he has always been with us. We think he is an easy foster and hope he finds a forever family that loves him so much, just like we do!

Little is a great foot warmer, too!!!♥️☺️❤️
