Shortie had a bath. What a good boy! He stood so sweetly for the bath and blow dry! Again, very little to no shedding! (He may shed in the spring/summer- not sure -but for right now he is not shedding much at all)
Old Injury?? Little Shortie may have an old injury to his leg. He runs around and jumps up and down onto the couch and does not indicate any pain but he holds it up at times and it is crooked a little. It does not hinder him but good to know. He IS a rescue and prob had a ‘RUFF’ life... so relieved that he is safe now! What a forgiving boy. Heart of GOLD! 💛!
You can expect a lot of the above! Haha!! He is such a CUDDLER!!!

Shortie loves tummy rubs... he also sleeps like a pretzel on his back— twisty turny! He smiles 😁 during his tummy rubs. Sooooo funny!!! Haha!!!
Shortie is sweeeeeeet! He is so cute! He needs to gain a few lbs but otherwise he’s not shy or scared. He’s a very friendly boy!!! He is a small dog but not too small... his fur is not soft soft but not super wiry either! I really like him! A KEEPER!

Peppermint (Peppe) is taking a break from her 5 puppies and is staying with us till she is spayed. Then she will be adopted. Pooh is doing great having a new friend in the house! :) #suchsweetpups

Here is what Pooh Bear eats! At first he was a little fussy. Not so much any more. He is beginning to eat more kibble! He does well with the small dog sized kind! He has also started chewing on deer antlers to clean his teeth. It’s nice to see Pooh eating well now! He is also not as fussy with treats. Yay! He has even been eating carrots ... the little ones. Wow! If he were my dog I would take him in for a nice professional teeth cleaning!
*Update: Pooh B. ate only bagged kibble today! So if u don’t wanna mess with canned... it’s all good! :)

Little Pooh B. has been here a week. It’s amazing how things have gotten so comfortable. We have a routine established and PB has joined in seamlessly! He knows that in the morning we go outside for potties so he runs all the way down (by himself now) 2 flights of stairs and stands at the back door. He comes back in (no more hesitation coming in the door) expecting his breakfast. Then back out for round “2” and finally back inside for couch snuggles. Speaking of this... Pooh is a package of love! 🧡 He is a cuddler!!!
He has the run of the house... all 3 floors ...because he does not have potty accidents. He is house trained well! :) Pooh loves everyone in the family... men and women ...and will snuggle with whomever is willing!!! He is still a bit shy at times but doing better. I think the separation from his pal Jack (maybe his brother) has been difficult on him.
If we need to leave him for a bit he does not get too upset. He may whine a little but he’s not a problem. Just a little complaining. I usually crate him if I’m gone.
If you like little scruffy terriers you will love Pooh!!! He is just a wee bitty guy — such a peanut—so he would fit into any size house.
We sure love our little Blonde Bear! Seems like he’s been here longer than a week because he’s so comfy. Pooh Bear is a small package but is a big blessing in our lives!!! 🐻 💖

After brushing thoroughly this is what I got out! A little ping pong ball sized glob of fur. So not a biggie dealie!!!

Here is the rest of him all brushed and fluffed. Awwwww!!! He trots and struts around our house like a little soldier. I love watching him!!! He holds his tail so high!!! Here I come!!! Pooh Bear at attention!!
PB is not barky or yappy. He may bark if he hears something strange but I’ve hardly heard him much at all. His bark is cute! On a scale of 1-10 in barking so far here he is a 2. Very low on the barking scale.
Pooh B fits in here like a glove! I love him! Obviously I love his ‘look’... I adore terriers! (Notice how my dogs look so much like him!) Most of all though he’s great on the inside! Seriously. Not a peep in his crate. Just sits calmly. Amazing for grooming. Potty trained. Yes...he’s a “canned food junky” (He eats a little bit of kibble I sneak in) but I don’t think it’s a problem. I’m sure you could try Raw Food or other healthier versions rather than canned. I did find yet another treat he likes. A Duck flavored one. Seriously! Chips, peanuts, Cheese treats and now DUCK! 🦆 This boy has a strange pallet regarding treats!!! Hahaha!!! Oh another thing I loooove...Pooh comes zooming fast when you call him and he sits right at your feet. 😊 Also there is the fact he plays Fetch... so so fun!!! The only thing he does do that I have to sometimes say “no” to is his “paw paw... up up”!!! He listens.
Seriously if he stays here for a looooong time I’d be totally thanking my lucky stars. I’m guessing that won’t happen though so if you love him... get on your computer and apply! #PoohBearisaHunny
Pooh Bear had a great morning!!! Ate breakfast. Out for ‘doo-ties’. All is great!! He’s a sweet boy!!!
He has a foxy bushy tail with a little black on the tip. Here is a picture of him in the bathroom with me this morning! He makes sure I look ok before leaving for work! Did I pass inspection, Pooh?!?
His fur is a little wiry. He sheds a bit but nothing I couldn’t live with!
We were outside tonight putting away Christmas decorations. He was snooping around the yard!
Didn’t take long and he found me and wanted UP!!! That’s him!!! Baby Pooh! :)!!!
Back inside...Up up up again!!! He’s pretty hard to resist!!! 💜
Today we ditched the belly band. Yay!!!!! I still keep a close eye on him but he’s doing super and not marking now. If he even looks suspicious I quietly say nooooo and he listens right away. He’s very smart and a sensitive little guy. Someone will hit the jackpot adopting P.B. I totally ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜 him!

Pooh Bear is so snuggly. He paws my leg to lift him up! He has not played with toys. Yet. He does not take treats unless it’s cut up meat... or potato chips! Hahaha!!! Again... the ‘good stuff’!!! He is a little prince!
Pooh is delicate and gentle. He would be amazing company for a quiet couple, single woman or apartment dweller. Pooh is just a good ‘sit on your lap or sit by you on the couch’ type. He has not chewed on bones or toys. I’ll try some other things to see if something strikes his interest. He did eat his canned Pedigree food today. He has run around the back yard a bit and chased through the snow! He slept silently in his crate all night. He got up with a waggy tail and did both pee and poop outside. He is a wee bit shy about coming in the house on his own but with coaxing he will come inside.
In time he may show us some more of his personality but this is him so far! Awwww! 🐾

There was a little dog play session tonight! It was super cute!!! He’s starting to settle in! I think he is older than 1.5. Most likely 3-4 years in my unprofessional opinion! Well time to get everyone tucked in! See you tomorrow!
I picked P. Bear up from the Doggy Daycare where he’s been waiting for a foster or forever home for too long. I’m sooooo excited to have him! He needed some sweet TLC!!!

SWEEEEET!!! Very calm! Didn’t move a smidge when I trimmed his fur! Very loving to me! Just wants pets and attention.
Quiet in his crate. Not a peep or anything so far! Seems used to being inside a crate.
He is a fussy eater. Likes the “good stuff”. Canned food... but he’s so small so no big deal! I like good stuff too!!!
Potty training... we will see what happens this week?!? He does potty outside but did lift his leg to mark so is wearing a belly band. This is super common when they first arrive in a home so we will give it a few days!!!
Pooh Bear is a definite cuddle bug mommy boy!!! He rode very well in the car, too! Even when I stopped for coffee and gas and got out he stayed in his doggy car seat. Nice!!!
Pooh is friendly with the boys that live here! My hubby John and son Seth are not scary to him. So that’s fantastic.
Pooh was friendly with my dogs and they are also small. I’d say due to his size he’d prefer another small dog or even no dog. He’s fine by himself. He’s a people pup!!! He bonded to me in an instant! 💚
